We need to understand the soil better to save it.
Soil is the house for many micro organisms such as nematodes, bacteria, fungi, microfauna, and more. These organisms help plants to convert minerals and nutrients available in the soil into energy. These soil organisms can store carbon, keep fungal infections and viruses away from your plants. Unfortunately, so many of the practices that are a part of popularly accepted agriculture actually cause the soil ecosystem to collapse.

Steps we should follow are below
1. Pls avoid chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
2. Avoid using chemical coated seeds. They leach back the coated chemical into the ground which kills the micro organisms. Outcome of this the soil food web gets disturbed.
3. Add nutrients and minerals back to the soil. Compost is the only way to get the nutrients back.
